David brings investment, operations, and financial experience to NewView Capital, with an enthusiasm for Data, Devops, and Fintech.
At NVC, he focuses on the critical research and diligence necessary to build the firm’s portfolio.
Prior to joining NVC, David was an Investment Banking Analyst in Citi’s Global Technology Group where he covered the Software industry. His transaction experience includes Advent/ Permira’s acquisition of McAfee (Consumer Division), the initial public offerings for Expensify and Informatica, and the De-Spac of Hims & Hers by Oaktree Acquisition Corp. Previous to Citi, David worked at University Growth Fund, where he was involved in the investments in Fastly, Flexport, and Simplus.
David graduated cum laude from the University of Utah with a BS in Finance.
David is a passionate fan of the Utah Jazz and University of Utah sports. Some of his favorite activities include skiing, golf, and pickleball.
